CJC-1295 with DAC 5mg
GHRH analogue with Drug Affinity Complex modification for extended half-life research.
What is CJC1295?
CJC-1295 with DAC (Drug Affinity Complex) is a synthetic analogue of GHRH(1-29) modified with a lysine linker and maleimidoproprionic acid (MPA) group that enables covalent binding to serum albumin. This modification dramatically extends the half-life compared to native GHRH, making it a valuable tool for studying sustained GH axis stimulation.
Key Features
- Extended half-life via albumin-binding DAC technology
- Full GHRH receptor agonist activity
- Ideal for sustained GH release studies
- High purity ≥98% verified by mass spectrometry
Mechanism of Action
The DAC modification allows CJC-1295 to bind covalently to circulating albumin via a Michael addition reaction, protecting it from enzymatic degradation. This results in a prolonged half-life of approximately 6–8 days compared to minutes for native GHRH. The compound retains full GHRH receptor agonist activity, stimulating pulsatile GH release from pituitary somatotrophs.
Research Applications
- Long-acting GHRH receptor agonism studies
- Sustained GH axis stimulation research
- Albumin-binding drug delivery mechanism studies
- GH/IGF-1 axis pharmacokinetics
- Comparative GHRH analogue studies
