Mechanism of Action
Cagrilintide acts on amylin receptors (AMY1–3), which are formed by the calcitonin receptor combined with receptor activity-modifying proteins (RAMPs). Amylin receptor activation slows gastric emptying, suppresses glucagon secretion, and promotes satiety through central nervous system pathways.
