BAC Water 3ml
Sterile bacteriostatic water for peptide reconstitution. 3ml, 0.9% benzyl alcohol, 0.22μm filtered.
What is BAC3?
Bacteriostatic Water for Injection (BAC Water) is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. The 3ml vial is designed for reconstituting small quantities of lyophilised research peptides. It is 0.22 micron filtered and produced under strict aseptic conditions.
Key Features
- 0.9% benzyl alcohol bacteriostatic preservation
- 0.22μm sterile filtered
- Compatible with all Helix Biotech peptides
- Multi-use vial — safe for repeated puncture
Mechanism of Action
Benzyl alcohol inhibits the growth of bacteria and fungi in the solution, allowing the vial to be punctured multiple times without contamination risk. This makes BAC Water the preferred solvent for research peptides that require multiple aliquots from a single reconstituted vial. The neutral pH and isotonic formulation are compatible with most lyophilised peptides.
Research Applications
- Reconstitution of lyophilised research peptides
- Multi-use vial preparation
- Sterile solvent for in vitro assays
